Lack of sleep can affect your weight. When you’re tired, you might feel like you’re hungry but in reality, you aren’t. This, in turn, can cause some folks to eat more…causing them to gain weight. Obviously, if you’re trying to lose weight, this can be very discouraging.
So, make it a point of going to bed at a reasonable time this evening. You’ll want to aim for at least 7-8 hours each and every night.
One great way to fall asleep? Bring a book to bed. You’ll be less tempted to hit up the fridge if your hands are holding a book. Be sure to check out all the many choices at your local library. If it’s been a while since you’ve read, find a subject that interests you or simply ask your friends what they are reading. In my opinion, television doesn’t do the trick like a good book does. TV actually stimulates your brain. Trust me, there’s research out there to back me up.
Anyways, give it a try. Just think of how great you’re going to feel in the morning. 😉
