I’m a firm believer that you should do something active everyday. Even if you aren’t working out regularly, there are some things that you can do to get you there.
1. Give it at least 60 days. Research shoes that it takes this long to form a habit. So, circle a date of your calendar 2 months from now and find an activity to do each day.
2, Even if you’re new to working out, go ahead and when asked, tell people that you are a “kickboxer” or “swimmer.” When you show that you’ve committed to an activity, you’re more likely to do it!
3. Find some FUN music to listen to. Keep yourself inspired and keep moving. Studies show that when you listen to music, you’re more likely to rev up your endurance by 15%.
4. If you miss a workout, don’t fret. Life happens. Just get back into the groove as soon as you can.
5. Be positive! Put the negativity behind you. For example, instead of using the word “should” use the word “want.”
