Finding Your Life Purpose
by Rochelle Griffin
I’m just gonna put it out there. Some will like it. Some will hate it. But it’s my truth. I’m a firm believer that God provides stepping-stones that guide each of us in finding our life purpose. I’m also a firm believer that if I zig when He wants me to zag, He can still graft in my missteps to get me to where I should be. Why do I believe this? Because I’ve lived it!
I’ve made mistake after mistake in my life, yet thru God’s grace, today I’m stronger than I’ve ever been.
I often speak of God’s love and how He’s moved in my life on my Facebook and Twitter pages. As a result, I regularly hear back from people with their stories and questions…wondering how they are supposed to know what God’s purpose is for their life. So many people are wandering aimlessly, not sure of their next step.
I’ve prayed for God to enlarge my territory and spread my voice, so I was incredibly excited when I was invited this week to be a featured expert speaker at the virtual Empowered by Purpose Summit! I will be sharing my testimony (the good, the bad, and the ugly) about finding God’s purpose for my life, along with sharing tips on how other’s can do the same.
This online event is completely free! I’ll be sharing the link with you in the next week so you can join us. Watch for it!
Until then, I can give you my #1 tip to finding your life purpose: Prayer.
Seems so simple, yet can feel so hard.
When I don’t pray, I find myself making decisions on my own accord, which may often leads me off track…although it feels right at the time. I also find that when life changes or throws hurdles my way, (and lets be honest…when doesn’t it?) I become reactive…often with anger or impatience. Just keeping it real.
When I pray, I find myself taking a step back…removing myself from the situation…about what I want…about what I feel, and I start to see things through His eyes instead. I can’t begin to tell you how many times that I’ve made different decisions as a result.
Doing this time-after-time has led me step-by-step, prayer-by-prayer to my purpose. Otherwise I’d still be wandering aimlessly as well.
My purpose is threefold: 1) To be a wife and homeschooling mom. 2) To help others improve their health through Functional Diagnostic Nutrition. 3) To give people hope and to let them know of God’s love.
I really am excited about sharing my story with you. In my articles, I’ve shared a bit throughout the years, but there is so much more. It’s my hope that my story, my pain, my mistakes will help someone else take the step forward in discovering his or her purpose in life. We all have one and Yours is important.

I’m so happy to have you here, Darla. Yes depression is ugly (been there) and it’s not of God. Keep your eyes fixed on Him. I think you’ll really get a lot out of the upcoming Summit. Keep an eye out for the link in the next week! Blessings!
Very encouraging words! I always enjoy your insight. Thanks!
Thank You! You’re an inspiration!
I feel so lost. Ive made mistakes n dnt kno which is right for me.
I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for 21 years to my five children. The last few years have been extremely stressful as I’ve dealt with family issues. I’ve lost sight of who I am because I’ve cared for everyone else for so long. I’ve been working out a lot, eating clean, and running 5 K’s. This has helped tremendously with my stress. My next step is to apply to a nutrition school. My goal is to become a health coach. I’m enjoying your daily posts. You’ve been an inspiration. Thank you! 🙂
Thank you
Love to hear more
God bless

My purpose is to be a good mom and friend. To share Christ as well.Lastly to become an author. I struggle is massive. Pleas pray I make it. I get up each day to accomplish it Thank You.
I would luv to find my purpose. I hav been talking to God maybe I am doing it wrong. I feel being torn in different directions. I am truly blessed God has answered me, but I feel k was put into someone’s life lately and I am trying to figure how to help him.
Thanks for your advice! I am at a crossroads right now, you have helped a lot!
Thank you. I’m very much interested in this. Like you I’m a nurse.LPN. My life is not the greatest right now. I love nursing, but I’m getting older. Is nursing my purpose or am I destined to do something else. I’ve been struggling for several yesrs now and really don’t know which way to turn. Yet I do pray and I have faith. Yet I’m human and still unfortunately have that doubt or insecurity. But anxious to see your purpose in life.
