Combat the Upcoming Holiday Stress
by Rochelle Griffin
Every year it seems like the stores bring out the holiday decorations earlier and earlier. Last month I was already seeing the Christmas stuff. Swear it drives me crazy, so it’s rather funny that I’m writing an article about the holidays in September. Pot calling the kettle black. I feel obligated to however because stress seems to go hand-in-hand with the season. I want you to be prepared for the holiday stress.
Once Halloween hits, we are officially into the holiday season…moving quickly into Thanksgiving, Christmas (for my family,) & New Years. There are gifts to buy, parties to attend, trees to decorate, turkeys to cook. It’s honestly one of my favorite times of the year. But along with it comes stress…stress to find the perfect gift (and sometimes at the last minute for those of you who are procrastinators,) unhealthy yet yummy food and the adult beverage while sacrificing a few Zzzzzz, wanting the tree & house to look beautiful as you move the ornament once again looking for the perfect spot, and trying to cook that big meal before the guests arrive. Basically I’ve just told you about my holiday stress.
Here’s the reality…even though the holidays are an amazing time of year, the stress that it puts on us is not amazing. In fact, it’s downright hurting us. Except we don’t realize it…not right away…perhaps in a few months or years the stress will come back to rear its ugly head with symptoms.
That’s how it works. We put stress on our body, whether in the form of emotional stress, dietary stress, or even stress that we aren’t aware is there (things like food sensitivities or gut pathogens like bugs, bacteria, or yeast.) We tend to power thru because we do, after all, feel superhuman as we are listening to the holiday classics. We don’t realize what’s happening internally because especially during the holidays, stress can be fun…the end result is a celebration.
The time to start to prepare your body is NOW before the holidays get here. Even if you aren’t a planner and like to fly by the seat of your pants, this is one of those times where you don’t want to be kicking yourself. Once the stress kicks in and stays chronic through the holiday season, your adrenal glands will react (they are supposed to) becoming tired & ineffective over time. This results in the vague symptoms we all hate, including insomnia, weight gain, fatigue, and mood fluctuations to name a few.
To combat the stress, you need tools in your tool belt. The upcoming Adrenal Fatigue Bootcamp will give you all the tools that you’ll need to minimize the damage of the impending stress. Best part is that it starts on October 6, 2014 and ends on Halloween! You’ll literally be ready right when the holiday season starts.
We’ve already sold out twice! The doors are getting ready to close on the Bootcamp. Grab your seat now to ensure you are prepared to enjoy the holidays to the fullest extent WITHOUT causing damage to your body.
