It’s a simple test that’s quick and easy…that is once you get the hang of things. You’re asked to sit a big tank of water and blow out as much air as possible. You’re doing this as you go under water for just a few seconds. After the test is completed, you’re given a print out of the data. The info that they gave me was invaluable. You’ll find out the following:
* Accurate assessment of your body fat % and lean mass* Detailed tracking of previous tests
* A reference table showing where you are and where you should be
* Calculation of your resting metabolic rate and total caloric burn
What I found out is that I wasn’t eating enough during the day…which would explain why I was SO hungry at night and would often eat things that I shouldn’t. My body NEEDED the calories. I also learned that because I wasn’t eating enough, I actually LOST muscle mass! Now I make sure that I NEVER eat too little. My muscle is too precious. I’m in the process of putting on muscle now. My goal is to gain 8 lbs of muscle and lose 8 lbs of fat…so basically my scale won’t even budge! I highly recommend that everyone have this test done.
